Two cars were set on fire near the house of a police officer in Limassol
The Limassol police are investigating the arson of two cars parked near the house of a police officer.
The arsons occurred last night. According to the police press service, two cars parked near a multi-story residential building in Limassol caught fire around midnight.
The fire was extinguished by arriving firefighters. During the investigation, it was determined that the cause of the fire was arson using easily flammable materials.
The house where the fire started belongs to a police officer, a member of the presidential guard. However, both burned cars belong not to him, but to his brother and a family member's friend.
The scene was cordoned off. Firefighters and police officers are conducting inspections and studying recordings from surveillance cameras. Police investigation is ongoing.
