The Cyprus business community mourns the death of the well-known entrepreneur Konstantinos Siakolas.

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE) expressed deep condolences, noting that he left a significant mark in the construction and investment sectors.

Konstantinos Siakolas was born into a family with strong traditions in the contracting business, received an education as a civil engineer, and from an early age combined professional knowledge with entrepreneurial activity.

Almost his entire career was connected with the Ioannou & Paraskevaidis group (J&P Overseas), where he worked for over 49 years, including serving on the board of directors.

In 1977, he was appointed regional manager in Saudi Arabia. By 1992, the company’s revenue in the region had grown to $1.4 billion. That same year, he became CEO, and in 2000 he became executive director and CEO of the group, playing a key role in transforming the Cypriot company into an international construction holding with projects on four continents.

Siakolas repeatedly emphasized that success was built on principles of consistency, trust, and strong partnerships, especially with countries in the Arab world.

His passing is a significant loss for the construction industry and the entrepreneurial environment in Cyprus.
