Cyprus President Congratulates Donald Trump on U.S. Election Victory
Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides has extended his congratulations to Republican candidate Donald Trump on his victory in the U.S. presidential election.
“I congratulate U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on his election victory. I look forward to continuing our work to expand and strengthen the strategic partnership between Cyprus and the United States and to advancing our transatlantic relations,” the Cypriot leader shared on the social media platform X.
On November 6, Donald Trump claimed victory in the U.S. presidential election and addressed his supporters. His main opponent, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, conceded defeat and congratulated the Republican on his win.
As a reminder, President Nikos Christodoulides recently visited the White House on October 30 at the invitation of current President Joe Biden.
