Paphos Police Evict Russian Woman from Turkish Cypriot-Owned Property

In the Paphos region, the police and the Property Management Service are carrying out an operation to evict a Russian woman who has been living in a property owned by Turkish Cypriots.

According to a report by Philenews, the woman, of Russian origin, was married to a Cypriot refugee who was the legal beneficiary of the Turkish Cypriot property about ten years ago. However, following her husband's death last year, authorities decided she no longer qualifies to continue living in the property.

Despite her ongoing appeal, which is currently being reviewed in court, the eviction is proceeding. The initial ruling determined that she no longer meets the legal criteria to remain in the house, even though her late husband had transferred inheritance rights to her.
