Cyprus Police Fail to Identify Owner of Severed Leg Found in Boot

The Republic of Cyprus Police conducted an investigation after a severed human leg was discovered in a boot on a beach in the Lara area. Despite searches on land and at sea, no evidence was found to identify the leg's owner.

Michalis Nicolaou, Director of the Paphos Police, stated, "No significant findings were made during the investigation, leading to the conclusion of the case."

The severed limb was sent to Nicosia for examination by anthropologists and forensic experts.

The disturbing discovery took place on a beach in the Lara area of Paphos last Sunday. A swimmer stumbled upon a right boot containing a severed human leg, separated at the ankle.

Upon discovering the limb, the individual promptly reported the finding to the Peyia police station, providing precise details of the location where the leg was found.
