Cyprus Police Arrest 33 Illegal Migrants
As part of a special operation in Nicosia, the Republic of Cyprus police have arrested 33 individuals residing in the country illegally. Procedures for their deportation have already commenced.
According to the law enforcement press service, a total of 207 people who were illegally residing in the country were repatriated, either voluntarily or as part of the deportation process during the week from December 3rd to December 10th.
Since the beginning of the year, the number of illegal migrants expelled from the country has reached 9,075 individuals.
The police emphasized their close collaboration with the migration department to maximize the number of illegal migrants returning to their home countries.
