Chase In Limassol: Allegedly Stolen Items And Drugs Found On 40-Year-Old Driver
In Limassol, a 40-year-old man was arrested after a police chase. Allegedly stolen items, cold weapons, and drugs were found in his vehicle.
According to police, the incident occurred around 14:30 during a patrol. Law enforcement officers signaled the driver to stop for inspection, but he ignored the request and continued driving recklessly, creating danger on the road.
After a short pursuit, the vehicle was stopped — the car collided with a police vehicle.
During a search of the interior, several watches, jewelry, car keys, a knife, two batons, and a small quantity of cannabis were found. The driver was detained on suspicion of unlawful possession of property. A preliminary drug test returned a positive result.
The investigation is being conducted by the Limassol Traffic Police, the Central Police Station, and the Anti-Drug Unit (YKAN).
