Contractor damaged a cable in Aglantzia: an entire district left without electricity

An incident in Aglantzia left an entire district without power. A contractor carrying out construction work accidentally damaged an underground cable belonging to the AHK company.

The damage occurred in two places, causing a massive power outage in the Aglantzia area. The accident happened in the morning, and AHK repair crews immediately arrived at the scene to fix the problem. According to preliminary information, power supply is expected to be fully restored no earlier than 11:00.

Due to the outage, not only residential buildings but also traffic lights were left without power, which caused traffic disruptions. Police officers were sent to the scene to regulate traffic and ensure safety and control of vehicle movement.

The incident caused serious inconvenience to residents and local businesses. AHK representatives have not yet made official statements but assured that repair work is being carried out as a matter of urgency.
