Anexartisias Street in Limassol to Become Pedestrian-Only on Sundays
The authorities in Limassol have decided to close Anexartisias Street to traffic on Sundays. For the next three Sundays, traffic will be blocked on the street.
According to a statement from the municipality, this decision was made in coordination with the police in light of the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.
Traffic on Anexartisias Street will be closed on Sundays – December 8, 15, and 22 – from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The pedestrianized area will stretch from the intersection of Anexartisias and Gladstonos Streets to Christodoulou Hadjipavlou.
During the road closures, appropriate measures will be in place to ensure that emergency services, including the police, fire department, and ambulances, can still access the temporarily closed streets in case of emergencies.
"Violators of this notice will be subject to penalties as outlined in the Municipalities Law and the Limassol Municipality Rules of 2006," the municipality’s statement warned.
