Night police raids: hundreds of checks and arrests across the country

Last night, police carried out large-scale preventive operations across the country, stepping up patrols in key urban areas. The main aim of the raids was to prevent serious crimes, maintain public order and increase citizens' safety.

During the overnight operations, four people were arrested. The charges included assaulting a police officer, hooliganism, carrying a knife and traffic violations.

According to police, 532 vehicles were stopped during the night, and 717 drivers and passengers were checked. At the same time, law enforcement officers carried out 52 inspections of various establishments, resulting in 13 administrative reports.

Particular attention was paid to road checks. A total of 280 fines were issued for traffic violations, 93 of them for speeding.

Police also carried out 99 alcohol tests. In four cases, drivers were found to be behind the wheel while intoxicated. In addition, six drug tests were conducted, one of which returned a positive result.

As part of the operations, police impounded three vehicles.

Law enforcement agencies said such raids would continue in the future. An increased police presence on the streets, random checks and operational actions remain part of the strategy to combat crime and ensure public safety.
