Cyprus Hosts Series of Events to Raise Awareness about Hemophilia
Cyprus is hosting a series of events aimed at raising awareness about hemophilia. One of these events is organized by the Pan-Cyprian Organization of Hemophilia Patients (POA) in collaboration with the Medical School of the University of Cyprus.
The event commenced with a lecture titled "Current and Future Treatments for Hemophilia" by distinguished hematologist Professor Michalis Makris. The presentation covered current treatment methodologies at the international level, as well as future medical advancements in hemophilia treatment.
The event received a warm welcome from representatives of the medical community. Attendees included healthcare professionals, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, patients, association members, and other interested parties.
The primary objective of POA is to provide continuous support and empowerment to individuals with hemophilia and their families, assisting them in addressing the daily challenges they encounter. Additionally, the organization aims to disseminate accurate information and increase societal awareness about the characteristics of the disease.
