Dust and abnormal heat expected in Cyprus
According to meteorologists, high pressure will prevail in Cyprus until Wednesday, but from Thursday, a low-pressure system will begin to change the weather.
Starting tomorrow, dust is expected in the atmosphere, with concentrations occasionally becoming elevated.
At night, the weather will be mostly clear, with variable high clouds possible later. By morning, light fog may form in places, especially in inland areas and the east of the island.
On Tuesday, temperatures will rise to approximately:
- 24°C inland,
- 23°C on the east and southeast coasts,
- 21°C on the west and north coasts,
- 16°C in the mountains.
Wednesday and Thursday are expected to see unusually warm weather for April with periodic cloudiness.
On Friday, an atmospheric disturbance from the west will approach the island: the weather will become cloudier, with isolated rain and thunderstorms possible, and winds will strengthen, especially on the coast.
Temperatures will remain above the climatic norm until Thursday, but will decrease slightly on Friday, staying close to or slightly above average for this time of year.
