Cyprus airports continue to expand their international route network, strengthening air connections with key European destinations and entering the Central Asian market for the first time.

Wizz Air is launching two new routes. Flights between Cyprus and Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina) will operate from April to October, with up to two flights per day — marking the first direct air link between the two countries. Additionally, from June to October, flights to Varna (Bulgaria) will operate three times a week, supporting tourism and short-term travel.

At the same time, Air Astana is entering the Cypriot market for the first time. The airline will operate seasonal flights from Larnaca Airport to Astana and Almaty. Flights will run twice a week in July and August, enhancing Cyprus’s connectivity with Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

Connections with Germany are also being strengthened: Lufthansa is launching a new route between Paphos Airport and Munich. Flights will operate three times a week starting in April.

The launch of new routes and the entry of a new airline highlight the steady growth of Cyprus airports’ route network and reinforce the country’s position as an important aviation hub during the peak summer season.
