This is a record: more than 120 teams have already registered for the Grand Parade of the Limassol Carnival
Preparations for the final Grand Parade of the carnival, which will take place on Sunday, March 17th, are continuing in Limassol. Over 120 teams have already signed up to participate in the festival's culmination.
As reported by the Philenews portal, citing a high-ranking official from the Cultural Service, this year's carnival will be outstanding - the Limassol municipality is fully prepared for a great celebration.
Organizers expect that around 30,000 spectators will attend the carnival's main event. Entertainment centers, restaurants, cafes, and hotels are preparing to welcome foreign and local guests.
"This is the largest carnival parade ever held," said one of the interviewees from the publication.
According to the official, the carnival is a very important aspect and economic stimulus for the city, as it provides a huge financial boost to dozens of businesses.
"We are ready to successfully and safely conclude the 2024 Limassol Carnival," summarized the municipal employee.
Recall that the carnival in Limassol officially started on March 7th. The celebration will last for 11 days. On Sunday, March 17th, Cyprus awaits the culmination of the 11-day carnival celebrations - the Grand Parade in Limassol.
