Paphos MP demands urgent resolution of water and food issues for state hospital patients

Amid statements by the President of Cyprus on the advancement of a major infrastructure project, Paphos MP Chrisantos Savvidis raised concerns about the conditions for patients at the state hospital in Paphos.

Speaking at a meeting in the presence of President Nikos Christodoulides, Savvidis noted that he and other MPs from the Paphos district receive numerous complaints from citizens on a daily basis. According to the parliamentarian, many patients come to the hospital from remote areas and are forced to wait for hours without even being able to get water or food.

It is reported that the MP addressed representatives of OKYPY present at the meeting firmly, stating that if the problem continues to remain unresolved, he is ready to personally intervene and restore the functioning of the relevant facility in just a few days. Savvidis emphasized that the lack of progress on such a simple issue appears unacceptable.

According to him, as in the case of the construction of the new hospital in Polis Chrysochous, President Christodoulides showed personal interest in quickly resolving the issue to stop the daily inconvenience for hundreds of patients.
