Fourth Fatal Crash in Two Days: Young Motorcyclist Killed in Late-Night Accident in Larnaca
Tragedy struck again in Cyprus last night with yet another fatal accident — the fourth deadly crash in just two days.
According to the police press office, the incident happened around 1:15 a.m. in Larnaca. Angelos Adamou, a 23-year-old man, was riding a high-powered sports motorcycle along Grivas Digenis Avenue when he lost control, struck a curb, and slammed into a bus stop.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Emergency services rushed him to Larnaca General Hospital, but sadly, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Larnaca Traffic Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
This marks the fourth road fatality in just 48 hours. On Wednesday evening, a food delivery courier on an electric bicycle was killed in a collision with a car in Limassol. The previous night, a 57-year-old motorcyclist lost his life in a crash in Larnaca. And on Wednesday afternoon, a 69-year-old man was fatally hit by a motorcycle near Nicosia General Hospital.
