Sunny Weather Expected in Cyprus on December 20, with Frost in the Mountains

The Meteorological Department of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that low-pressure systems from Greece will move into the region on Friday, December 20.

Sunny weather is expected during the first half of the day, although some high clouds may appear.

According to the forecast, daytime temperatures will reach approximately 18°C inland, 21°C in the southeast, as well as on the eastern and western coasts, 20°C along other coastal areas, and 9°C in mountainous regions.

By evening, the weather will remain mostly clear. However, western areas may experience intermittent localized clouds, which could bring isolated showers, primarily along the western coast.

Overnight, temperatures will drop to around 6°C inland, 9°C along the southern and eastern coasts, 10°C on the western and northern coasts, and as low as 2°C in the mountains, where frost is expected to form.

On Saturday, the day will start mostly clear, but localized cloud cover in the west could result in isolated showers.

Saturday’s temperatures are expected to rise slightly, remaining above the seasonal average. However, a gradual decline is forecast through Monday, bringing temperatures back to normal seasonal levels.
