Cloudy and Dusty Weather Continues in Cyprus on January 13
The Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus reports that weak low-pressure conditions remain over the region on Monday, January 13. Fine dust particles are expected to persist in the atmosphere, contributing to reduced air quality.
The morning will bring overcast skies and isolated rain showers, which are expected to intensify later in the afternoon. According to the forecast, daytime temperatures will rise to around 19°C inland, 21°C along the coasts, and 12°C in mountainous areas.
As night falls, low cloud cover will increase in some areas, and light fog is expected to form gradually, particularly in the eastern part of the island. Overnight, temperatures will drop to approximately 9°C inland, 11°C on the coasts, and 4°C in the mountains, where localized frost may occur.
At the time of this report, the snow depth on the highest peaks of the Troodos Mountains was measured at 12 cm.
Looking ahead to Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather is expected to be mostly clear, although some scattered clouds may appear in the afternoons. Temperatures will remain steady, staying above the seasonal average.
