13-year-old teenager in critical condition after electric scooter accident in Larnaca
A 13-year-old boy is in critical condition at Makarios Hospital in Nicosia following an electric scooter accident that occurred in Larnaca on Sunday.
According to the police, the teenager was riding an electric scooter late in the morning on a road in Aradippou towards the Livadia agricultural zone when he lost control and fell. The circumstances of the incident are still being investigated.
The victim was initially taken by ambulance to Larnaca General Hospital, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to Makarios Hospital in Nicosia, where he is in the pediatric intensive care unit.
According to doctors, the boy has been diagnosed with a skull fracture (occipital bone), subdural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and multiple abrasions. His condition is assessed as serious.
