Armed teenager wanted after car showroom attack arrested in Lefkoşa

The police of Northern Cyprus have arrested 16-year-old Abdullah K. (born 2009), who was wanted following a high-profile armed attack on a car showroom that caused wide public concern across the country.
The operation was conducted by the Crime Prevention Department. The suspect was found in Lefkoşa at EKOR, an establishment located opposite the exhibition center, where he was having a meal. During the arrest, two pistols and ammunition were found on him.
According to the police, the teenager arrived on the island today via Gaziantep. Considering his age, the investigation regards it as unlikely that he acted alone and is checking the possibility of accomplices who may have assisted him in organizing the attack.
It is reported that the detainee will be brought to Lefkoşa court in the morning.
The police noted that after the attack on the car showroom, searches were conducted intensively for several hours, and the quick and coordinated work of officers received positive feedback from residents.
The investigation continues.
