In the TRNC, preparations for an armed attack on a business in İskele uncovered
The police of Northern Cyprus reported the arrest of three individuals suspected of preparing an armed attack on one of the businesses in the İskele area.
According to the police press service, two suspects — A.K. and Y.K. (both aged 21) — were previously detained in Girne. During searches of their homes, a narcotic substance was found, and it was also established that they had illegally entered the territory of the TRNC, bypassing migration control.
In the course of further investigation, police determined that the detainees had entered into a “secret conspiracy” with a third person — Y.Ö. (40) — with the aim of organizing an armed attack on a commercial facility in İskele. The third suspect was also identified and arrested. Investigative actions in the case are ongoing.
