Commemorative ceremonies held in TRNC for Martyrs' Day and Canakkale Victory
Solemn events dedicated to the 111th anniversary of the Canakkale Victory and Martyrs' Day were held in Northern Cyprus.
Ceremonies took place in Lefkosia, Iskele, Güzelyurt, as well as at the Boğaz and Tekke Bahçesi memorials. Government officials, military personnel, diplomats, and residents participated in the events.
Participants laid wreaths, observed a minute of silence for the fallen, and listened to the Turkish national anthem and commemorative speeches. The speeches emphasized that the Canakkale Victory became a symbol of unity, courage, and the struggle for independence.
Separate events were also held at the Eastern Mediterranean University, where a special program dedicated to the date took place.
