TRNC to Celebrate World Scout Thinking Day
Lütfiye Fedai, Chairperson of the TRNC Scout Leaders Association, announced the program of events dedicated to February 22 — World Scout Thinking Day.
The celebrations include official visits and commemorative ceremonies.
On February 21, visits will be paid to the graves of late scout leaders Tuncay Apakgün and Güner Nejat.
On February 22, a wreath will be laid at the Ataturk bust in Nicosia.
In addition, representatives of the scouting movement will visit the leadership of primary education. Scheduled meetings include visits to Sevgi Değin, Senior Director of the Primary Education Department and Chairperson of the Scout Executive Council, and Senior Scout Leader Besime Durmuş.
Furthermore, members of the TRNC Scout Leaders Association will be presented with commemorative pens featuring Ataturk, specially brought from Anitkabir, along with scout emblems to mark the day.
