School holidays end in Northern Cyprus: around 58,000 students return to classes

The mid-term break for the 2025–2026 academic year, which began on February 1, is coming to an end. Tomorrow, approximately 58,000 students will return to their classrooms.
According to a statement from the Ministry of National Education, teaching resumes in:
- 132 primary schools — 27,481 students;
- 49 general secondary schools — approximately 25,188 students;
- 13 vocational and technical schools — approximately 4,044 students;
- Famagusta Apprenticeship Training Center and Taner Akcan Vocational Training Center — about 700 students.
Approximately 6,500 teachers are employed across the country's public and private schools.
The 2025–2026 academic year will conclude on June 15, when students will be issued their report cards and graduation certificates.
