Military Firing Exercises to Be Held in Nicosia District — Residents Warned of Danger
The Nicosia District Administration (Kaymakamlık) has announced that the 28th Artillery Regiment will conduct live-fire training exercises on specific dates and in designated areas from 08:00 to 18:00.
The statement emphasizes that being present in these zones may pose a threat to life and property.
The danger zones are defined as follows:
▪ West: Gökhan — Beyköy — Değirmenlik — Levent Quarry
▪ East: Yeniceköy — Kalavaç (1 km west) — Regional Forestry Directorate
▪ North: Beşparmak mountain range — Alevkayası road — Regional Forestry Directorate
▪ South: Yeniceköy — Kornalı Hill — Beyköy
It is also noted that following the exercises, search and disposal operations for unexploded ordnance will be carried out in the area.
Entry to the territory without authorization from the command is strictly prohibited.
