One Person Dies in Accident on Akdoğan – Vadili Road
A tragic accident has occurred in Northern Cyprus, resulting in the death of a driver on the Akdoğan – Vadili main road.
According to the police spokesperson, the incident took place the previous evening around 8:00 PM. Burak Sefa Urum, 32, was driving towards Vadili when he lost control of his vehicle and veered into oncoming traffic, causing a head-on collision with a car driven by 45-year-old Ismail Kaya.
The accident resulted in four people being injured, including a nine-year-old child. All the injured individuals were taken to the State Hospital in Famagusta.
Unfortunately, the driver of the first car could not be saved and died from his injuries. The driver of the second car, as well as two passengers—Aishe Bayır Kaya (44) and Mustafa Efe Kaya (9)—are currently receiving medical treatment.
The police are investigating the cause of the fatal accident.
