Telecommunications Department in Northern Cyprus demands debt payment by May 5 — disconnections possible
The Telecommunications Department in Northern Cyprus has urged subscribers to settle their debts as of March 31, 2026, no later than May 5. The department's statement warns of potential service disruptions in case of non-payment.
According to the department, subscribers with unpaid bills as of March 31, 2026, will be automatically disconnected from voice, data, and internet services. The disconnection will be carried out via the operator's computer system. Furthermore, it was emphasized that the lines of subscribers with debts exceeding 12 billing periods at the end of April 2025 will be completely canceled.
Residents in Northern Cyprus are advised to check their account status and, if necessary, pay off any arrears before the deadline to avoid temporary or permanent loss of communication. If you have any questions, you should contact the Telecommunications Department to clarify debt information and available payment methods.
The information was published on April 17, 2026; the department confirmed a strict approach to collecting overdue payments and called on subscribers to take timely action.
