Nicosia Capital Lions Club helps equip classroom for visually impaired
On February 20, 2026, the Nicosia Capital Lions Club completed its main service project for 2025–2026 in the field of education by supporting infrastructure improvements at a classroom in the Rauf R. Denktaş Special School for the Visually Impaired in Nicosia, Northern Cyprus.
As part of the project, a special LED light table for reading was provided for the students. The classroom walls were lined with specialized materials, and an air conditioning unit was installed to ensure proper conditions in the room.
Following the completion of the work, Club President Zehra Çağra and members of the organization visited the school. School representative Ülkü Şah thanked the club for its support.
According to the organization, projects are implemented through contributions from voluntary donors. It was noted that educational initiatives are a priority for the club and will continue in the future. The initiative aims to create suitable learning conditions for students with visual impairments.
