Northern Cyprus: annual inflation has approached 40%
New data on the rise in the cost of living have been officially published in Northern Cyprus. According to statistics, annual inflation reached 39.45%, while prices have increased by a further 21.66% over the past six months.
The figures reflect the ongoing rise in the cost of goods and services amid economic instability and growing household expenses. Experts note that the most significant price increases continue to be linked to food, housing, utilities, and transport.
The published figures have intensified public discussion about the population’s purchasing power and the need for support measures, especially for families with fixed incomes.
