President of the TRNC Receives Turkish-Cypriot Boxer Metin Turunç
The President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, received the Turkish-Cypriot boxer and European heavyweight boxing champion, Metin Turunç.
According to the press service of the leader of Northern Cyprus, during the meeting, the heavyweight athlete briefed the president on his international achievements.
Ersin Tatar thanked Metin Turunç, whose successful performances in boxing set an example for young athletes, congratulated him on his recent victories, and wished the boxer further success in the ring.
It is worth noting that in his last match on February 18, the boxer of the national team of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, European heavyweight boxing champion Metin Turunç, knocked out the two-time world heavyweight boxing champion, Azerbaijani Ali Ismayilov, in the first round in Istanbul.
The Turkish-Cypriot athlete dedicated his victory to the memory of the Angels-Champions team.
