The new week kicks off with rain showers and thunderstorms: weather in Northern Cyprus on May 13th

According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, Monday, May 13th, will see the region under the influence of low pressure and cool, humid air. Until noon, meteorologists predict varying cloud cover, accompanied by showers and thunderstorms.

The air temperature will dip 2-3°C below the seasonal climatic norms. In some areas, temperatures will plummet to 21°C, while the maximum air temperature will hover around 28°C.

The wind will be from the northwest, with moderate strength and occasional strong gusts. However, no storms are expected today.

There are two meteorological warnings in effect for Northern Cyprus. There's a possibility of forest fires, and the level of ultraviolet radiation remains low.

Northern Coast: Kyrenia - 24°C, Lapta - 22°C, Akdeniz - 24°C, Alevkaya - 21°C, Esentepe - 22°C.

Western Coast: Lefke - 25°C, Güzelyurt - 26°C.

Central Part: Nicosia - 27°C, Ercan - 28°C.

Eastern Coast: Famagusta - 24°C, Iskele - 25°C.

Karpas: Yenierenköy - 23°C.
