Car Catches Fire on Famagusta–Nicosia Highway
On March 9, around 08:30, a fire broke out in a vehicle with license plate EH 222 on the Famagusta–Nicosia road.
The fire started after the car was parked. Preliminary reports suggest the cause was a short circuit in the engine's electrical system, which ignited the blaze.
The fire was quickly extinguished thanks to the intervention of people nearby.
As a result of the fire, the vehicle's electrical system was damaged. No injuries were reported.
The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
