A dust cloud from Africa is approaching Northern Cyprus
The TRNC Meteorology Department has issued an emergency warning due to dust polluting the air. Fine particles brought to the region from North Africa will linger in the atmosphere throughout Saturday.
According to meteorologists, dusty weather will persist in the country starting from midnight on March 2 until the end of tomorrow.
"Since dust particles from North Africa are expected to cause air pollution in our region, citizens sensitive to dust are advised to be cautious," the department's message says.
It is worth noting that the last time dusty weather was observed in Northern Cyprus was in mid-February.
