Woman arrested in Northern Cyprus in bank payment fraud case
In Vadili, police have detained a 50-year-old woman suspected of fraud involving the use of bank data.
According to the police, on February 9 and 17, 2026, the suspect, who worked as an insurance agent, used clients' bank card details without their knowledge to pay off debts to the insurance company.
Further investigation also revealed that the woman forged a bank payment order for approximately 100,000 Turkish Liras.
The suspect is in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
