Sharp cooling expected in Northern Cyprus: temperatures to drop by 10 degrees

According to a warning from the TRNC Meteorological Department, starting from the evening of Tuesday, October 8, Northern Cyprus will experience a significant deterioration in weather and a sharp drop in air temperature by about 10 °C.
The weather changes are associated with the passage of a cold atmospheric front, which will bring strong winds, cloudiness, and rain of varying intensity. According to forecasters, short but heavy showers are possible on Wednesday and Thursday, especially in the central and northern parts of the island.
Night temperatures will drop to 10 °C in the mountainous areas, 14–16 °C in central regions, and around 18 °C on the coast. During the day, temperatures will not rise above 24–26 °C, which is significantly lower than usual for October.
The service warns of possible wind gusts up to 6 on the Beaufort scale, especially in coastal areas. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution due to slippery roads and limited visibility during precipitation.
Meteorologists note that the cold spell will last until the end of the week, after which temperatures will gradually return to seasonal levels.
