New Head Appointed to the Department of Religious Affairs in Northern Cyprus
A new head has been appointed to the Department of Religious Affairs in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Hakan Moral will be taking over from Ahmet Unsal, who has held the position previously.
The announcement of the personnel change was published in the official gazette. It was reported that Ahmet Unsal resigned voluntarily from the position.
Hakan Moral is set to officially take office on February 1, 2025.
Additionally, the Council of Ministers has approved changes to the Board of Directors of the Department of Fund Management and Religious Affairs. Mert Osmanlar has been appointed to the board and will begin his duties on February 1, 2025 as well.
