Second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year begins in Northern Cyprus
On February 16, 2026, the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year began in Northern Cyprus. Following a 15-day break, students have returned to their classrooms. Nazım Çavuşoğlu, the TRNC Minister of National Education, addressed students, teachers, and parents.
"Education is the country's most significant signature on the future," the Minister stated, wishing a successful semester to everyone involved in the educational process.
According to Çavuşoğlu, projects aimed at improving academic performance, teacher professional development programs, and efforts to strengthen school infrastructure will continue throughout the second semester.
The Ministry views the enhancement of equal opportunities in education as a priority. Work continues on creating a safe, healthy, and modern school environment that meets contemporary standards.
Concluding his address, the Minister thanked teachers for their hard work, emphasizing: "We are building the future together."
