Meteorological service: showers and gale-force wind gusts forecast for three days in Northern Cyprus
The Meteorological Department in Northern Cyprus warns that short-term showers are expected in places over the next three days, with thunderstorms possible on Thursday. The message was published on March 30.
According to the department, partly cloudy skies are forecast for the remaining days. Maximum air temperatures in inland areas and on the coasts will stay within 20–23 degrees Celsius. Winds will predominantly blow from the south and west at moderate strength; on Wednesday and Thursday, gusts approaching gale force are possible in some areas.
Residents and visitors in Northern Cyprus are advised to take precautions: secure items in open areas and on balconies that could be blown away by the wind; drivers should maintain a safe speed and distance, especially in coastal and hilly sections; if possible, refrain from going out to sea or walking in coastal zones during periods of increased wind and thunderstorms. In case of deteriorating weather, follow forecast updates and official warnings from the Meteorological Service.
