Port Department auctions two inflatable boats abandoned in Northern Cyprus

The Port Department has announced an open auction for the sale of two rigid-hull inflatable boats (RIBs) abandoned in Northern Cyprus within the TRNC territory. The auction will take place on Thursday at 11:00 at the Yedidalga Coast Guard Command.

The first boat is "Orion 7": gray-black, rigid deck, length 7 m, width 3 m, draft 0.50 m, equipped with a 300 hp Mercury Verado outboard motor. Starting price — 500,000 Turkish Liras (TL). The second boat is "Forst": gray-black, length 7 m, width 2.75 m, draft 0.50 m, Honda 250 hp motor, starting price — 250,000 Turkish Liras (TL).

The auction will last 30 minutes; upon completion, the boat will be sold to the highest bidder. Participation requires a deposit of 10% of the starting price; the deposit can be submitted as a bank guarantee letter, a bank check, or cash from a bank operating in the TRNC. Those who do not provide a deposit will not be allowed to participate. Payment upon completion of the transaction is by cash or bank check only; personal checks are not accepted. In case of non-payment, the deposit will be forfeited and the sale cancelled.

The Department notes that if the bids are unsatisfactory, the management may postpone the auction, and the buyer is responsible for all port and other expenses incurred from the date of sale. For further information, contact the Port Department.
