Russian shops in Cyprus
If you suddenly want to make "Herring under a fur coat" and "Olivier" salads, or if you decide to go on a buckwheat diet, it's a doable task. On the island the chain of shops "Rus-market" and "Mini-mix" sell traditional Russian products. However, they are mostly made in Germany and the prices, of course, they are quite high compared to the local Cypriot ones.
In Russian shops you can buy red caviar, herring, cottage cheese, which is not available in Cyprus at all, sour cream as in your home country, doctor's sausage, buckwheat, chocolate bars, dumplings. In general, these are small branches of native supermarkets with a standard set of traditional Russian or even Soviet products.
Also in Larnaca, the Gourmet shop (formerly Magnet) is praised for its large selection of quality Russian products.
