Elderly Limassol Resident Dies After Falling from Roof While Trimming Trees

An elderly man tragically lost his life in Limassol after falling from the roof of his house while pruning trees.

According to police reports, the incident occurred the previous evening. A private hospital informed authorities that a pensioner from the community of Paramytha had been admitted. Before that, the 69-year-old man was discovered bleeding on the ground near the entrance to his home. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Officers from Limassol and the Kalos Chorio police station arrived at the scene. Their investigation revealed that at the time of the incident, the 69-year-old was on the roof of his house, approximately 2.80 meters above ground, trimming branches from a cypress tree adjacent to his home.

It appears that he lost his balance and fell. At around 4:20 PM, a neighbor working at a nearby house noticed the man's body and promptly called for an ambulance.
