Six More Traffic Violation Cameras Activated in Nicosia
A photo-marking system utilizing six additional cameras has been put into operation in the province of Nicosia as of today.
According to the police press service, four cameras have been activated at the intersection of Atalassa-Acropolis and Iosifos Hatziosifos avenues, which will monitor violations related to running red lights, crossing white stop lines, and exceeding the speed limit.
Additionally, two devices have been set up on Archangelos Avenue to monitor vehicle speed and other traffic rule violations.
Authorities expect that expanding the video surveillance system will help reduce the number of serious and fatal road accidents.
