Christmas tree lighting and open concert program to be held in Nicosia on 23 November
The Nicosia Municipality will hold the official Christmas tree lighting ceremony and an open concert program at Eleftheria Square on 23 November 2025 in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The event will begin with a broadcast by ALPHA radio station from 16:00 to 18:00. At 17:30, two parades will start from different points of the city — from Stasikratous Street via Makariou Avenue, and from Faneromeni Square via Ledra Street — featuring Santa Claus, the brass bands of the 71st and 283rd scout units, majorettes of the Limassol Girl Guides Corps, and children’s mascot characters.
From 17:30 to 18:00, the Cyprus Police Philharmonic Orchestra will perform on the main stage. At 18:00, the song “Away”, which will represent Cyprus at Junior Eurovision 2025, will be performed by Christos Georgiou and Rafaella Panteli. A light drone show is scheduled for around 18:30, followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree and the start of an open concert featuring Stavento and Ivi Adamou accompanied by a 12-member band. The host of the evening is Christiana Artemiou.
