In Limassol, a 66-Year-Old Man Arrested on Suspicion of Land Sale Fraud
According to the police, on February 2, a married couple contacted the Limassol Crimes Investigation Unit (TAE). They stated that in 2020 they agreed with the 66-year-old to purchase an agricultural plot in the Limassol province and paid him a total of 32,000 euros.
However, the man did not transfer the ownership rights. During verification, it was discovered that he is only a tenant of the plot, not its owner.
As part of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued. The suspect was detained yesterday evening by TAE Limassol officers. This morning, he appeared before the Limassol District Court, which ordered him to be held in custody for five days for investigative procedures.
The investigation continues.
