In Paphos, Cyprus, on March 31, 2026, officers from the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department (CID) conducted a search of a residence under a court warrant and detained four individuals aged 16, 24, 25, and 30 in connection with an alleged theft and burglary case.

According to the police, a complaint regarding a burglary and theft was filed on March 29, 2026, with the Paphos CID. During the search, a 25-year-old man was found in possession of a crystalline substance resembling methamphetamine, weighing approximately 0.2 grams, as well as burglary tools and other items for which he could not explain legal possession, leading to his immediate arrest under relevant articles.

A significant list of household appliances was also found on the premises—lamps, a kitchen stove, an air freshener, a television, a video camera, and other items—for which the detainees had no explanation. Police determined that some of these items, according to the investigation, had been stolen from a multi-apartment building under construction between March 28 and 30, 2026, and from a private residence on March 29, 2026.

The detainees were re-arrested based on court warrants and brought before the Paphos District Court, which ordered their remand for five days. The investigation continues by the Paphos CID.
