The deadline for applying for state student aid extended until October 24
From October 20 to Friday, October 24, 2025, an emergency extension has been introduced for submitting applications for state student aid for the 2024–2025 academic year, the Grants and Allowances Service under the Ministry of Finance in Cyprus announced, following the earlier notice of October 9, 2025.
According to the Ministry of Finance, families of students whose previous applications were rejected may reapply, as some applications had been incorrectly submitted by students themselves, whereas under the State Student Aid Law 2015–2022, applications must be submitted by parents or legal guardians. Families of students who have not yet applied for the 2024–2025 academic year are also eligible.
The Ministry emphasized that no further extensions will be granted and urged timely submission of applications. The information source is the Cyprus News Agency (CNA).
