In Paphos, police are investigating a case of car sales fraud. The attacker pretended to be a car salesman, defrauded his “clients” of 53 thousand euros and left Cyprus.

According to the Paphos police press service, a 31-year-old man is wanted on suspicion of fraud. Three people, aged 30, 35 and 61, complained to law enforcement about the actions of the fake car salesman. According to the victims, between May 10 and July 14 this year, they gave the suspect 53,000 euros to buy cars. They had to be delivered from abroad.

As it turned out, the 31-year-old man apparently left Cyprus, having stopped answering phone calls. An arrest warrant has been issued against the suspect. He is wanted.
