Limassol to Celebrate the Start of Lent for the First Time
On March 3, Cyprus will celebrate Clean Monday with great enthusiasm. For the first time, the festivities will take place in the Municipality of Kourion, near Limassol.
The celebration marking the beginning of Lent will start at 11:30 AM at the Trachoni municipal stadium and continue until 5:00 PM. Visitors can look forward to traditional music, delicious Lenten dishes, and a variety of entertainment for all ages. This is a new initiative that the Kourion Municipality hopes to establish as an annual tradition for Limassol residents.
