For the third consecutive year, ferry service between Cyprus and Greece will operate during the summer. It is scheduled to start on May 29 and run until September 3.

Unlike last year, the vessel Daleela flying the flag of Cyprus will not alternate routes between Limassol and Larnaca to Piraeus and back but will instead use the port of Limassol for all 22 planned trips for 2024.

Booking will open on April 17. No significant difference in ticket prices is expected. Operator Scandro Holdings is expected to announce all the details at a press conference next week.

It is noted that the decision to launch ferry service only from Limassol was made for financial reasons. In particular, there has been a sharp decrease in the number of cruise liners using Limassol this year. At the same time, the increase in traffic at Larnaca port has created logistical problems.

Inside the liner, the same services will operate as in previous years, with cabins of different classes as well as so-called "aviation" seats without cabins. Inside the ship, there are two cafe-bars, spacious halls and a restaurant, as well as a casino area. The ship can carry up to 400 passengers and over 200 vehicles simultaneously.

A total of 22 routes will be in operation: one in May (on the 29th), five in June, eight in July, seven in August, and one in September.

It is also noted that from May to September 2023, more than 7,400 passengers used the ferry service between Cyprus and Greece. Additionally, over 2,400 vehicles and 250 pets were transported.
