Underage Migrants Involved in Mass Fight in Larnaca

The Larnaca police are investigating the causes of a mass brawl that broke out among underage migrants in the Phinikoudes area, resulting in injuries to two individuals.

According to police reports, the incident occurred the previous evening in one of the local cafes, causing significant damage to the establishment.

Preliminary information suggests that authorities received a report about the fight involving foreigners around 9:00 PM. Officers who arrived at the scene intervened and managed to halt the altercation.

Two individuals sustained injuries and sought treatment at the emergency department of a general hospital in Larnaca. After receiving initial care, they were released.

In a statement, Sotiris Ioannou, an MP from the ELAM party, claimed that the participants in the brawl were unaccompanied minors, likely from Syria, who had recently been residing in the "Agius Georgios" nursing home.
